Reviews and Ratings
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The rooms were spacious with beautiful church ceilings, but the bed was extremely uncomfortable. The courtyard restaurant where we had breakfast every morning was a lovely touch.
The hotel was a mixed experience with exceptionally clean and comfortable rooms but lacked proper understanding of conversion rates by the unhelpful staff. The location was beautiful and generally quiet, putting me in the right mood to start the day. The dining experience was acceptable but nothing special.
The hotel had well-sized and very handsome rooms, but they were rather outer facing. The front desk staff was not particularly friendly, and the food and drinks in the hotel were expensive. However, the stay was at a much lower rate.
The hotel offers high-ceilinged and comfortable rooms, although the bathrooms are smaller and could use modernization for a full effect. I found zero reasons to stay and linger due to excessive noise, but I was impressed by the excellent service provided by a very knowledgeable gentlemen with outstanding English.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of cozy comfort and a touch of claustrophobia. The rooms were beautifully decorated, exuding a typical Mexican taste, spacious, and super clean with a fully stocked minibar, but the limited natural light coming from only one small window made the space a bit tight. The service was a delightful surprise with attentive and friendly staff, but there were some old-fashioned macho attitudes that slightly hindered the experience. The location was simply unparalleled, nestled in the upscale boutique area with easy access to the historic town center and abundant dining options, although the enchanting ambiance of the converted old convent came with a slight premium price tag. The dining experience varied from local delights to chef-prepared special requests, while the facilities, including the serene courtyards and beautiful pool area, added to the charm of the stay.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The lovely courtyard restaurant where we had breakfast every morning was a delight, but some areas seemed neglected and old. The room itself was cozy and well-appointed, offering a very comfortable bed. The central location was fantastic for exploring Oaxaca City, but there were some issues with the dining experience.
